You know your life is never going to be the same, and you find yourself facing decisions you never could have imagined making. It was during this time that I found myself with two choices: I could turn my back on God. OR I could dig into my faith and allow God to carry me through this journey. I chose the latter, and it wasn’t always easy.
I am someone who likes concrete answers and organized plans. I prefer my I’s dotted and my t’s crossed. But cancer doesn’t work that way. I begged God to give me answers or show me signs that things were going to be OK.
And it seemed that God would show up every time that I would start to feel completely lost, and unsure of where to go next. I would see signs in the world pointing me in the right direction, and assuring me that I wasn’t in this alone.
This is a big theme in our book, The Most Amazing Harvest. I share some of the darkest moments in this journey, and show just how God showed up. We want to encourage anyone who is battling something in their life, and needs a little encouragement.
